Trustee Training

Case Study

Cosan were contacted by the Chair of the Trustee of a medium sized pension scheme to do some training for his Trustee Board. He wanted someone to help them to understand their investments and the options available to them. Cosan explained that we do not really do investments but the Chair was clear that he wanted a different approach. He had arranged training from investment experts but this had left the Trustees more confused.

Cosan spent some time discussing the needs with the Chair of Trustees and the Pensions Manager and then undertook a half day of training and discussion with some “simulations” to explain the principles. The Trustees were unanimous in saying that the training was just what was needed and commented on how helpful it was to have someone “independent” to discuss issues and to explain the principles.
